Responsibilities Serve as a First or Second Assist under surgeon supervision Perform significant surgical tasks across multiple specialties Specialties Include General Surgery, Laparoscopic, OB/GYN, Orthopedics & Spine, Podiatry, Plastics, Urology, ENT, Vascular Requirements Licensed Surgical Assistant (VA) or eligible within 90 days 2+ years experience as a Surgical Assistant Basic Life Support (BLS) certified Up-to-date health exam, vaccinations, and immunizations Willingness to take call shifts and commute to various facilities as needed Preferred Education Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Assistant Program (A graduate of a medical school—foreign or domestic—with at least 2 years of experience as a licensed Surgical Assistant may also qualify.)
