At the heart of the Villa is a community of caring staff that provide dignified and compassionate support to each resident. How you'll contribute A Certified Surgical Tech, First Assist who excels in this role: Position patients to ensure optimal exposure for surgical procedures while maintaining comfort and safety, utilizing appropriate stabilization equipment as needed Maintain clear visualization of the operative site through techniques such as tissue manipulation, retraction, sponging, suctioning, and irrigation Apply appropriate methods to control bleeding (hemostasis), both temporary and permanent Assist with wound closure, application of dressings, and securing of drainage systems Collaborate effectively with internal teams and interact professionally with patients, clients, vendors, and other external partners Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Maintain a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards, including HIPAA Follow established policies, procedures, and best practices Perform other duties as assigned

What we're looking for - Associate's degree preferred; completion of an accredited program in the relevant discipline required Certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required More about Fauquier Health Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit and much, much more.
