Job Description
We are seeking an upbeat, self-motivated Surgical Assistant to join our team and provide support to our surgeons and medical staff in our Pullman location. Must have an excellent work ethic, be dependable, patient-focused, and capable of working under pressure. Some dental experience is very beneficial but we are willing to train the right candidate. This is a part-time position
- default work schedule is three days per week (Mon, Thur, Fri, hours approx 8am-5pm) but can vary.
Duties:
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery
- Maintain a sterile environment during surgery
- Monitor patient vital signs during surgery
- Document surgical procedures and patient information in medical records
- Assist with patient assessments before and after surgery
- Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure quality patient care
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
