  • Join the UW Health General Surgery.\n \n\n
  • Work in collaboration with the team to provide pre-operative and post-operative care and education.\n \n\n
  • Assist with clinic procedures and minor surgeries.\n \n\n
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education\n\nUW Health offers clinical and administrative continuing education opportunities for Medical Assistants including AAMA approved CEUs, Elsevier Skill Packages and free weekend webinar events (twice per year).\n\nAt UW Health, you will have :\n \n\n

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following Required\n \n\n
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or\n \n\n
  • Licensure as an LPN or\n \n\n
  • Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or\n \n\n
  • Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or\n \n\n
  • Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program
  • Accelerated or\n \n\n
  • One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification\n\nWork Experience\n\n \n\n
  • 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Preferred\n\nLicenses & Certifications\n\n \n\n
  • Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or\n \n\n
  • Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required\n \n\n
  • If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required\n \n\n

Medical Assistant, Surgical Specialties Work Schedule :
Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM
