Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Advance your career as a Certified Surgical Technologist (ORT) in an impactful contract role, delivering high-quality care in the operating room alongside a dynamic surgical team. This opportunity allows you to make a difference in patient outcomes by supporting perioperative procedures in a modern surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sterilized and organized. Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during operations by passing instruments, holding retractors, and maintaining a sterile environment. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to facilitate efficient workflow and patient safety. Monitor adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols throughout all phases of surgery. Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures. Support post-operative clean-up and restocking of surgical suites.
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required. Strong foundation in perioperative nursing and operating room procedures. Experience with a variety of surgical specialties preferred. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in high-stress environments. Effective communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams. Adherence to the highest standards of patient confidentiality and safety.
