ROANE GENERAL HOSPITAL
- Full-Time Certified Scrub Technician First Assist Roane General Hospital in Spencer, WV a 60 bed Critical Access Hospital with 35 SNF/ICF beds, 25 acute care beds, Level IV Trauma Emergency Department, three Rural Health Clinics and a walk-in clinic is currently seeking applicants for a Full-Time Certified Scrub Tech First Assist. Qualifications The Certified Scrub Technician First Assist (CST-FA) supports the surgical team by functioning as both a scrub tech and a surgical first assistant. The CST-FA provides direct patient care in the intraoperative phase by assisting the surgeon in performing a safe operation with optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include preparing the surgical environment, passing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting with procedures such as tissue retraction, hemostasis, and wound closure. CST must be flexible to take call whenever assigned, and work closely with team members to cover call if needed. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program Completion of a Surgical First Assistant program Required to complete 12 CE's pertaining to scrub or central sterile per fiscal year.
