1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with labor and delivery experience for a 13-week travel contract in an LDRP unit in Anchorage, AK. Details LDRP unit in a hospital setting with 7 beds Patient ratios are variable and based on acuity Unit is staffed with 2 RNs and 1 surgical tech Procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&E, D&C, tubal ligation, vaginal repair, and hysterectomy GE equipment used on unit EMR system is Epic Day shift hours: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Floating may occur as needed when census is low Requirements Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Surgical Technologist Experience in a labor and delivery setting required Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required; state license required if applicable BLS certification from the AHA or ARC required NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certification required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months US SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required Additional Information Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered Scrubs are provided by the facility Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
