Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Advance your surgical services career in a dynamic operating environment supporting perioperative excellence. This contract position welcomes candidates with experience as a Surgical Technician (certified or non-certified) or those skilled in Operating Room Technology (Nursing - ORT). The role is designed for professionals capable of working collaboratively to assist surgeons and nurses, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a Surgical Tech (certified or non-certified), or in Nursing - ORT. Proficient in prepping operating rooms, sterilizing instruments, and managing surgical equipment. Able to anticipate surgeons' needs and support the surgical team during various procedures. Strong understanding of aseptic and infection control practices. Attention to detail and ability to remain composed in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Core Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile fields before and during surgical procedures. Assist surgeons and nurses throughout operations, providing instruments and supplies as needed. Monitor and maintain a sterile environment at all times. Handle specimen collection and proper labeling as directed. Participate in the cleaning and restocking of operating rooms following each procedure. Accurately document patient care and support perioperative workflows.
