Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Advance your career by supporting a dynamic surgical team, where your skills as an Operating Room Tech and Surgical Technologist are highly valued. This contract opportunity seeks individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care throughout the perioperative process.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a Nursing Operating Room Technician (ORT), Certified or Non-Certified Surgical Technologist, or related role in the surgical setting. Proficient in preparing and maintaining surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. Capability to support a sterile environment and assist surgical staff efficiently. Solid understanding of surgical procedures and safety protocols. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons and nurses with procedures by ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and readily available. Prepare operating rooms before procedures and ensure adherence to infection control standards. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly during cases. Manage surgical instruments, supplies, and tissue specimens as directed. Maintain accurate counts of instruments and sponges. Support post-operative clean up and restocking of supplies for future procedures.
