Where You'll Work Founded in 1961, Dignity Health - Arroyo Grande Community Hospital is a 65-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Arroyo Grande, California. Serving over 90,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including, emergency care, and orthopedics. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Surgical Tech III, you will help as a team member during the preoperative, intra-operative and postoperative phases of the surgical procedure. Every day you will demonstrates advanced skills in operating room technology and proficient knowledge of surgical procedures. You will be expected to Consistently demonstrates proper care and handling of instruments and equipment According to
AAMI/ANSI
Standards. Consistently demonstrates the principles of aseptic technique according to AORN Guidelines for Perioperative Practice, FHMC policy and procedures and the guidelines described in Universal Precautions. To be successful in this role, you must Demonstrates ability to serve as a preceptor and role model for new Surgical Technologist staff and Surgical Technologist students during their clinical rotations. Demonstrates ability to work within a decentralized model of patient care delivery. Demonstrates a caring compassionate attitude toward others. Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot equipment/instrument issues in collaboration with surgical team members. Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently. Demonstrates ability to work in a stressful environment while remaining calm, efficient and focused. #HelloSurgicalTechs Job Requirements Required A minimum of three (3) years recent hospital experience in the capacity of a Surgical Technologist. Completion of Surgical Technologist training. Completion of Certification as Surgical Technologist. Surgery Tech Cert and BLS Cert required. BLS-CPR; CST or TS-C
