Consistently demonstrates the principles of aseptic technique according to AORN Guidelines for Perioperative Practice, FHMC policy and procedures and the guidelines described in Universal Precautions. To be successful in this role, you must Demonstrates ability to serve as a preceptor and role model for new Surgical Technologist staff and Surgical Technologist students during their clinical rotations. Demonstrates ability to work within a decentralized model of patient care delivery. Demonstrates a caring compassionate attitude toward others. Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot equipment/instrument issues in collaboration with surgical team members. Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently. Completion of Surgical Technologist training. Completion of Certification as Surgical Technologist. Surgery Tech Cert and BLS Cert required. BLS-CPR; CST or TS-C
