Surgical Technologist - Bakersfield, CA $1740/week 8-Week Contract | Day Shift | 40 Hours/Week | Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (Surg Tech) for an 8-week EPIC conversion project at a leading acute care hospital in Bakersfield, California . This is a full-time, day shift assignment offering competitive weekly pay and the opportunity to support a major electronic medical record implementation. Job Responsibilities Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields. Set up operating rooms with instruments, supplies, and equipment. Assist surgeons during operative procedures by anticipating instrument and equipment needs. Ensure adherence to sterile technique and infection prevention standards. Document procedures accurately using EPIC and Cerner . Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, RNs, and the perioperative team to provide exceptional patient care. Minimum Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience . Current AHA BLS certification. California Surgical Technologist license (if required by the facility). EPIC and Cerner experience within the past 5 years . EMR experience must have been obtained as a hospital employee or through successful completion of a travel contract. Must be able to start by August 24, 2026 .
