ASAP About the Position Job Title Surgical Technologist - Surgical Services Location Eureka, CA Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (variable start times: 6:30 AM, 8:30 AM, or 11:00 AM) | Onsite Key Responsibilities Perform scrub technologist duties within a 10-room surgical suite Support surgical teams across a range of operative procedures during day shift hours Float to Sterile Processing (SPD) and Endoscopy departments as needed Maintain compliance with facility protocols, charting requirements, and patient safety standards Participate in weekend shifts as scheduled and be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) Float to affiliate facilities nearby the contracted location as required Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience Valid California Surgical Tech license in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted) Experience with Epic electronic health records system Willingness to float within the hospital and to nearby affiliate facilities Ability to work variable day shift schedules including weekends and major holidays Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify at standard rate; candidates within 50 miles are considered local Preferred Experience / Skills Prior travel contract experience preferred; first-time travelers with 2 or more years of experience will be considered Familiarity with Sterile Processing and/or Endoscopy procedures Strong adaptability and ability to transition between multiple surgical specialties and environments Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment with exposure to SPD and Endoscopy alongside the OR Supportive compliance process with references and onboarding modules to set travelers up for success from day one
