Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum two years of recent experience as a surgical technologist, with specific CVOR background. Active certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Proficiency in supporting a multidisciplinary surgical team and maintaining sterile technique throughout complex cardiovascular procedures. Collaborative mindset and clear communication skills.
Typical Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons and perioperative staff with cardiovascular and thoracic cases in the operating room. Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures. Support effective turnover of rooms between cases while ensuring compliance with strict infection-control standards. Anticipate the needs of surgical teams and contribute to seamless, safe patient experiences.
