  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are sterilized and ready for use.
  • Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies.
  • Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure to minimize the risk of infection.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and communicate any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
  • Collect and document data related to the surgical procedure, including patient information, surgical supplies used, and any complications or issues that arise.
  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgery, including positioning patients, preparing incision sites, and applying dressings.
  • Assist with the transportation of patients to and from the operating room. ```Requirements```
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Previous experience working in an ICU or ambulatory surgery center preferred.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and protocols.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, such as Epic, for data collection purposes.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in handling surgical instruments, sutures, and other equipment.
