This role is responsible for assisting before, during, and after surgical procedures while ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and the scrub technician role in performing these procedures Prepare and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures Assemble supplies, instruments, and equipment required for scheduled procedures Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures Properly handle, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment Assist with maintaining adequate inventory of supplies in the operating room Store and stock supplies for easy accessibility during procedures Maintain and update instrument tray lists and surgeons' preference cards Adhere to infection control policies, including bloodborne and airborne pathogen protocols Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program required NBSTSA certification or equivalent preferred Current CPR certification required Previous Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience preferred Core Competencies Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment Effective communication and teamwork skills Applicant Tracking Software by
