1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care hospital CVOR assignment in California. Details Acute care hospital CVOR unit with 7 OR suites averaging 18-20 cases per day Cardiovascular patient population requiring specialized OR tech support 1:1 and 2:1 patient ratios Cerner EMR is used in this position Day shift, 10-hour shifts from 6:30am-5:00pm Call requirements include some nights and weekends, approximately 1 week of night call per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend call shifts per month 30-minute call response time required Holiday coverage is required Scrubs are provided by the facility Requirements Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience required CVOR experience required BLS certification required (active, no pending certifications accepted) ACLS certification required CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential preferred Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable — pending licenses will not be accepted Driver's license required for consideration 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Additional Information Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year — candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered Candidates residing in California (CA) should be aware of applicable radius requirements that may affect travel pay eligibility — contact your recruiter for details Candidates will undergo a pre-screen with the Medical Solutions clinical team prior to a second interview with the unit manager First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but candidates should be prepared for a structured interview process
