1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of OR experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Torrance, CA. Details Acute care hospital OR setting with 356 staffed beds Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (6:15 AM - 4:15 PM) 13-week contract Floating to a sister facility location in San Pedro may be required Epic EMR (experience required) Free parking on-site Scrubs of any color are acceptable Ambulatory OR, General OR, and Pediatric General OR work settings Requirements Minimum of 3 years of Surgical Tech experience required Community hospital experience required BLS certification required NBSTSA certification preferred CA license must be in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable) Epic EMR experience required Neuro experience is a plus Proficiency across a broad range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, ENT, plastics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, bariatrics, ophthalmology, and podiatry Experience with robotic systems such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako preferred Strong aseptic technique required 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting are required for consideration SSN and DOB required for consideration LA Fire Card obtained within the last 30 days required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local RTO must be disclosed at time of submission; candidates must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day Candidates who have previously worked at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must disclose the location and dates of that employment Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment No open license or background hits will be approved; any license or background issues must be disclosed upfront
