Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Step into a vital position assisting in cardiovascular surgery as a skilled CVOR Tech with a leading healthcare team. Utilize your expertise to support surgical procedures, prepare operating rooms, and ensure patient safety in a professional, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certificate or diploma from an accredited Surgical Technology program. Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), preferably with CVOR specialty. Previous experience working as a CVOR Tech or similar surgical technologist role. Comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular operating room procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques. Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs and respond to evolving intraoperative situations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, maintain, and inventory cardiovascular-specific surgical instruments and supplies. Assist the surgical team during CVOR procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields. Adhere strictly to infection control and patient safety protocols. Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to ensure efficient operations. Monitor equipment functionality and support troubleshooting when necessary. Document operative procedures and related patient data accurately. Uphold professional standards and stay current with advancing CVOR technology and techniques.
