Job Description

Job Summary Join our orthopedic focused, outpatient surgical team as a Surgical Technician (CST) on the day shift, enjoying a schedule with no call responsibilities! In this vital role, you will assist in preparing operating rooms, ensuring sterile techniques are maintained, and supporting surgeons throughout various procedures. •5x8s schedule •Day shift, No call, No weekends, No holidays Duties Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to procedure requirements. Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing sterile fields with precision. Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety throughout procedures. Monitor vital signs and patient status during surgery, communicating any changes to the surgical team promptly. Collect and document data related to surgical procedures, patient responses, and equipment usage in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms. Support preoperative and postoperative patient care by ensuring proper handling of medical records and assisting with patient positioning. Demonstrate proficiency in anatomy knowledge, physiology, and medical terminology to effectively support diverse surgical cases including trauma, pediatrics, critical care, and ambulatory surgeries. Skills Active CST certification in good standing At least 2 years of hands on experience in the operating room At least 1 year experience with orthopedics is required Ambulatory Surgery Center experience is highly preferred Commitment to maintaining sterile environments through proper aseptic techniques and infection prevention measures. Pay:
$38.00 - $50.00 per hour
