2 Description American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with CVOR experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a hospital surgical unit in Miami, FL. Details Hospital CVOR unit on the 2nd floor of the main building, with a 1:1 patient ratio Procedures performed include CABGs, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy, ECMO, pacemakers, tracheostomy, and MAZE procedures Day shift hours: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Call requirements include 24-hour call on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and after-hours call on weekdays after 3:00 PM Candidate may be required to float and provide coverage at two additional affiliated hospital locations Documents system: Meditech Requirements Minimum of 2 years of CVOR surgical tech experience, with active experience within the last 6 months CST certification required; state license required if applicable BLS certification from the AHA or ARC required (no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start) US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no exceptions Two professional references required for Florida-based candidates No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible Additional Information Scrubs are provided in the OR The unit is staffed with OR RNs and CVOR Surgical Techs across both day and night shifts This position is not open to local candidates — a 50-mile radius rule applies with no exceptions
