Specialized Ophthalmology Practice:
We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our ophthalmology practice. This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside Dr. Steven L. Maskin, an internationally recognized ophthalmologist, researcher, and innovator in the treatment of dry eye disease. You will gain exposure to advanced diagnostic testing and specialized procedures while working in a collaborative, patient-centered environment committed to clinical excellence. Unlike a traditional operating room position, this role offers the opportunity to assist with advanced office-based ophthalmic procedures while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule and outstanding work-life balance.
Responsibilities :
As an Ophthalmic Surgical Technician, you will play an integral role in supporting both the physician and our patients throughout advanced office-based procedures. As a member of our clinical team, you will: Perform preliminary ophthalmic testing and diagnostic procedures Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and sterile fields Maintain strict sterile technique and infection-control standards Anticipate physician needs during procedures Efficiently handle and pass surgical instruments Prepare and position patients for office-based procedures Assist with patient preparation and post-procedure care Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment Maintain procedure inventory and clinical supplies Assist with documentation and patient flow Help create a calm, professional, and compassionate patient experience
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
