  • Job Description:
  • + Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
+ Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures. + Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning. + Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed. + Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants. Assists other team members with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for the next patient.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Completion of validation skills
  • Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up
  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques
  • Knowledge to anticipate critical emergencies of Specialty Call Team
  • Ability to organize, promote, and conduct relevant in-services on unit
  • Education:
  • Associate [Preferred]
  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
  • Technical/Vocational School [Required]
  • Field of Study:
  • N/A
  • Work Experience:
  • 2+ experience as certified surgical tech [Preferred]
  • Proficient in a minimum of 2 surgical specialties [Preferred]
  • Additional Information:

  • Licenses and Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support
  • CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Required] OR
  • Technician in Surgery
  • Certified (NTSC) [Required]
