Certified Surgical Technologist 2441 Oak Myrtle Lane, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544 Part-time Part-time Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Surgical Technologist, where you will play a vital role in supporting surgical teams and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties including plastics, pain, and orthopedics. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth operations in the operating room (OR) and contribute to positive patient outcomes. Duties Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile, organized, and ready for procedures. Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, and managing sterile fields with precision and attention to detail. Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to safeguard patient safety throughout all procedures. Support data collection related to surgical procedures and operative outcomes for quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, nurses, and physicians to ensure seamless workflow. Carry out all SPD responsibilities, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing medical instruments in compliance with infection control guidelines. Inspect and assemble instrument trays accurately and efficiently. Monitor sterilization processes and maintain proper documentation and logs. Ensure proper storage and handling of sterile supplies. Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is required. Demonstrated OR experience within ambulatory surgery centers is a plus. Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Basic life support (BLS) certification is mandatory. Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail in patient care and surgical procedures. SPD certification.
