Days | 36 Guaranteed Hours/Week (Expected 40 Hours) 2 shifts: 6:45 AM•7:15 PM 2 shifts: 10:45 AM•7:15 PM Monday-Friday Schedule Job Summary Northside Hospital Atlanta is seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist to join its Main Surgical Unit. The Surgical Technologist will work alongside surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesia providers to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures. This fast-paced department performs 28-55 surgeries daily and specializes in Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Urology, General Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery , utilizing advanced robotic technology, including three Da Vinci XI robotic systems . Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies. Maintain sterile technique throughout all surgical procedures. Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgery. Perform surgical counts with the circulating nurse before, during, and after procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow. Prepare and handle surgical specimens according to facility protocols. Clean, inspect, and restock operating rooms following procedures. Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment as needed. Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Support robotic-assisted procedures using Da Vinci XI systems when required. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience within the specialty.
Recent experience in:
Orthopedic Surgery Total Joint Procedures Spine Surgery Craniotomy Procedures Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification. Experience using Cerner EMR . Prior travel assignment experience required. Preferred Qualifications NBSTSA or NCCT Surgical Technologist Certification preferred. Experience with robotic-assisted surgery (Da Vinci XI) preferred. Unit Highlights Main Surgical Unit operating 24/7 . Performs 28-55 surgical cases daily .

Orthopedics Neurosurgery Urology General Surgery Thoracic Surgery Equipped with 3 Da Vinci XI robotic systems supporting General, Urology, and Thoracic procedures.
