Job Description

The Staff Pad has partnered with Blue Ridge Medical Center, located in Blue Ridge, GAand is looking to hire a Certified Scrub Technician to support the Operating Room team. This role is essential to delivering safe, efficient surgical care by assisting surgeons and perioperative staff before, during, and after procedures. As a Scrub Technician, you'll help maintain sterile technique, ensure surgical readiness, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team—playing a critical role in patient safety and positive surgical outcomes. What You'll Do Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms with appropriate instruments, equipment, and supplies Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping Maintain sterile field and always adhere to aseptic technique Perform accurate surgical counts of instruments, needles, and sponges Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments during procedures Handle and label surgical specimens per protocol Verify equipment functionality prior to procedures Communicate professionally with surgeons, nurses, and support staff Comply with HIPAA standards and hospital safety policies Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives What We Are Looking For Qualifications Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training Current CPR certification required Minimum of 1 year of operating room experience preferred Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation Ability to remain focused and effective in high-pressure environments Team-oriented mindset with flexibility and willingness to learn Work Environment & Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts Exposure to blood borne pathogens, surgical equipment, and operating room environments Ability to lift up to 100 lbs Work with patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric If you're a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in supporting successful surgical outcomes, we encourage you to apply and become an essential part of our mission.
