Job Description

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is ideal for a Surgical Technologist with a focus on OR nursing skills looking to apply their expertise in an outpatient surgery center setting. The role is a 13-week contract position based in Duluth, GA, providing a structured Monday through Friday schedule from 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms and ensuring all necessary equipment is sterile and ready Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain a safe and efficient operative environment Handle surgical instruments and supplies with precision and care during procedures Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to protect patients and staff Document surgical activities accurately and communicate effectively with team members
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Surgical Technologist within the specialty of OR nursing Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and operating room protocols Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
