Operating Room Responsibilities The Procedure Support Technician plays an essential role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care within the perioperative environment. Working under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse, this team member performs a variety of patient care support and operational responsibilities that help ensure procedures run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, positioning patients safely, cleaning, disassembling, reassembling, and maintaining operating room equipment, and assisting with inventory management. The Procedure Support Technician I may also assist with case cart preparation, maintain a clean and organized procedural environment, and transport patients as needed. As an integral member of the operating room team, the Procedure Support Technician I collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote a safe, respectful, and patient-centered environment while contributing to exceptional surgical outcomes. Qualifications Education H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required Work Experience One year of patient care experience. Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred. Licenses and Certifications BLS Must be from the
American Heart Association or American Red Cross Business Unit :
