Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic healthcare environment, contributing your expertise as an Operating Room Technician or Non-Certified Surgical Tech. Engage directly with surgical teams to ensure high standards of patient care and safety during operative procedures. Qualifications & Experience:
Experience assisting in surgery, with a background in either operating room nursing (ORT) or as a surgical technician (non-certified). Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques. Ability to set up, handle, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Adheres strictly to patient safety protocols and confidentiality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are ready for surgical procedures. Assist surgeons, nurses, and other staff during various types of surgery. Maintain sterile environments and anticipate surgeon needs throughout procedures. Handle specimen collection and ensure proper labeling and documentation. Clean and restock ORs after surgeries, following infection prevention standards. Support patient positioning, prepping, and transfer as necessary. Participate in ongoing education and adhere to current best practices in surgical care.
