Boise, ID 83706 Pay rate: $40-$45/hr Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Surgical Technologist, where you will play a vital role in supporting surgical procedures and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in fast-paced operating rooms, assisting surgeons and healthcare professionals with precision and care. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing sterile instruments, managing surgical supplies, and maintaining a safe, efficient environment for both patients and staff. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional surgical care across diverse specialties, including trauma, pediatrics, and emergency medicine. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and organizing surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical tools with precision. Monitor patient vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate during surgery to ensure stability. Maintain detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or other EMR platforms, documenting procedures accurately. Support trauma care teams by providing critical assistance in Level I and Level II trauma center settings, including treatment of fractures and acute care interventions. Ensure strict adherence to hospital infection prevention protocols and sterilization standards for all medical equipment and surgical instruments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, critical care units (ICU), pediatric units (PICU), endoscopy suites, and ambulatory surgery centers to deliver seamless patient care.
