Surgery Center Certified Surgical Technologist - PRN

Orthopaedic Associates Surgery Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to join our team working in a high volume, orthopaedic only, surgery center. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of surgical technologist experience. Orthopaedic skills are also a plus but not required. This is an outpatient-only facility, with hours worked Monday - Friday. This is a PRN position which would require working at least one (8) hour shift every 4 months. The Certified Surgical Tech (CST) will assist the orthopaedic surgeons and advance practice providers in the operating room at our Surgery Center. The CST will prepare the operating room by maintaining a sterile field and making sure that all surgical instruments are prepared and ready throughout the surgery.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program required. 1-2 years of experience preferred. Orthopaedic skills are a plus. Knowledge of surgical instruments and operating procedures Strong attention to detail Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multitask Excellent communication skills Factors determining actual salary may include skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
