Job Description
Orthopaedic Associates Surgery Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to join our team working in a high volume, orthopaedic only, surgery center. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of surgical technologist experience. Orthopaedic skills are also a plus but not required. This is an outpatient-only facility, with hours worked Monday - Friday. This is a PRN position which would require working at least one (8) hour shift every 4 months. The Certified Surgical Tech (CST) will assist the orthopaedic surgeons and advance practice providers in the operating room at our Surgery Center. The CST will prepare the operating room by maintaining a sterile field and making sure that all surgical instruments are prepared and ready throughout the surgery.

Assist the surgical team by maintaining a sterile operating room Set up the operating room for surgical procedures Monitor and control the environment, adhering to Universal Precautions Prepare patients for surgery, including washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites, transporting patients, positioning patients on the table, and covering patients with sterile surgical drapes Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by passing appropriate instruments, providing sterile items, holding retractors, and cutting Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with company policies and proceduresQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program required. 1-2 years of experience preferred. Orthopaedic skills are a plus. Knowledge of surgical instruments and operating procedures Strong attention to detail Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multitask Excellent communication skills Factors determining actual salary may include skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint.
