Where You'll Work Welcome to Saint Joseph East, a 217-bed, full-service, community hospital located in a convenient setting in Lexington, Kentucky. Saint Joseph East also includes the Women's Hospital at Saint Joseph East which is dedicated to supporting the well-being of women in Central and Eastern Kentucky and serves a 16-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients.

Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient's healing process.

To be successful in this role, you must possess adaptability, a strong team-player mindset, and enthusiasm for supporting complex surgical procedures. Prioritizes and directs the workflow and tasks involved in assisting the operating rooms with efficient turnover and will assist with performance evaluations. Tracks instruments needing a rapid turn-over and insures they are delivered to Sterile Processing as soon as possible. Inventories and stocks all supplies and instruments kept in the clean core. Communicates with sterile processing staff and operating room staff regarding the flow of supplies, instruments and equipment. Serves as a role model for students, new employees and non-professionals. Possesses knowledge of procedures and instrumentation and serves as a resource/reference person for other staff. $20,000 sign on bonus and up to $24,000 in educational assistance for eligible hires!
