The NeuroMedical Center is seeking a PRN Surgical Technician to join our Pain Management Department. Description The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room by assisting physicians during procedures and ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient environment. This position is responsible for preparing surgical instruments and equipment, supporting patient care, and maintaining the highest clinical standards.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities Perform scrub technician duties during procedures Prepare and maintain sterile fields in accordance with established protocols Assist physicians by anticipating needs during procedures Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies Assist with patient preparation, including skin prep and draping Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and cleaning systems Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and storage of surgical instruments Support patient safety and uphold infection control standards at all times

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology or Operating Room Technician program, or equivalent experience Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required (American Heart Association preferred) Minimum of 2 years of surgical or operating room experience preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
