Looking for a cardiovascular surgery opportunity with flexible week-to-week coverage? We have scheduled needs July 13 through August 3 (with the option to cover all or at least 2 weeks ), plus ongoing PRN opportunities. What You'll Do Provide inpatient rounding and oversee surgical patient care Respond to surgical consults and coordinate care with the care team Provide emergency room call coverage and support urgent surgical needs Perform cardiovascular surgical procedures, including

CABG , VATS

, thoracotomies , and lobectomies Perform abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repairs , arterial bypasses , and aortic valve replacements Support 24-hour call coverage (approximately 3-4 days/week ) and cover one weekend Maintain case logs for credentialing (past 24 months ) What You Need Required Cardiovascular surgery experience (case logs required for past 24 months ) Clean background (required for temporary privileges) Ability to obtain/hold an active LA license (credentialing packet is sent once obtained) Availability to cover 07/13/2026 through 08/03/2026 (all or at least 2 weeks preferred), plus PRN options Capability for 24-hour call coverage (3-4 days/week) and one weekend Preferred Experience working in teams with cardiovascular surgery coverage and shared inpatient/surgical responsibilities About the Assignment This is a cardiovascular surgery position supporting a leading facility in Lafayette, LA , with a high surgical volume (approximately 90 surgeries/procedures per month ). The team includes 2 cardiovascular surgeons and 3 advanced practice providers (APPs) , providing coverage for inpatient rounding, consults, and emergency call responsibilities.
