  • PRN Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting surgical teams. This role requires a strong foundation in patient care, knowledge of physiology, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. The Surgical Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Duties Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures. Assist surgeons and other medical personnel by providing necessary instruments and supplies. Monitor vital signs of patients throughout the surgical process. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient patient care in emergency medicine situations. Maintain an organized inventory of surgical instruments and supplies. Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of surgical equipment post-procedure. Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with hospital protocols. Support patients by understanding their unique needs during surgical interventions. Experience Must be certified by NBSTSA or other credible organiztion. Previous experience as a Surgical Technician or in a related medical-surgical environment is preferred. Familiarity with emergency medicine practices is highly desirable. Knowledge of systems related to hospital medicine and patient care is essential. Understanding of physiology as it pertains to surgical procedures is beneficial. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus, enhancing the ability to provide compassionate care to younger demographics.
