Travel Contract Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist to join a highly skilled Operating Room team in Hyannis, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for a surgical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and surgical excellence. Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms with instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and supplies. Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures. Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgery. Perform scrub duties across multiple surgical specialties. Assemble, inspect, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment. Assist with instrument, sponge, and needle counts. Handle and prepare surgical specimens for laboratory analysis. Apply surgical dressings as directed. Support patient positioning, transfers, and transportation. Prepare and label medications under RN and surgeon supervision. Assist with room turnover and restocking between procedures. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care. Participate in department meetings, education, and training activities. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Civilian or Military Operating Room Technician/Surgical Technician Program. Current NBSTSA Certification . Current BLS Certification . Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and infection control practices. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Operating Room environment. Preferred Qualifications Orthopedic (Ortho) surgical experience. Experience across multiple surgical specialties. Previous travel assignment experience.
