Job Description
Assists with ensuring the center is properly prepared for the daily schedule: maintains adequate inventory of supplies and follows procedures for notification of shortages and reordering. preparation of supplies. sterilization of equipment. cleaning the surgical suite between cases. Maintain sterility and safety logs and protocols. Opening of sterile packs, instruments and supplies to ensure sterile environment during case. Preparing for set up of surgical cases and assisting in surgical cases. Process specimens form surgical cases. Reporting and troubleshooting of all broken and defective supplies or equipment. Checking and restocking center. Organizing supplies and equipment in efficient manner. Provides in-service to staff on equipment and procedures in the surgical center. Assist coordinator and nurses with day to day administrative tasks as needed for cases. Maintains a safe environment for treating the surgical patient, including safeguards to protect the patient from cross infection takes an active role for identifying issues for quality improvement. Orders back office and medical supplies.
