We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our operating room team. The Surgical Technician plays a critical role in supporting surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals before, during, and after surgical procedures. This position ensures a sterile environment, prepares surgical instruments, and assists in delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, equipment, and supplies Set up surgical tables and ensure all tools are available and functioning Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols Monitor and track surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies during procedures Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation prior to surgery Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred or required depending on state regulations Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required At least 2 years of prior experience in an operating room Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
