Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in surgical technology and nursing support to a dynamic healthcare environment offering the opportunity to make a real impact. In this essential role, you will assist in operating room procedures, working closely with surgeons and the perioperative team to ensure the highest standards of patient care are maintained throughout each surgical case.
Key Qualifications:
Certified Surgical Technologist credential is required Previous nursing support experience in an OR or perioperative setting highly preferred Proficiency in setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment Strong understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons during varied procedures Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and infection control standards Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures Pass instruments, sponges, and other sterile supplies to surgeons during operations Ensure appropriate handling and care of surgical instruments and equipment Assist with pre- and post-operative room setup and turnover Verify proper consent, documentation, and surgical counts Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement activities This contract opportunity allows you to work alongside a knowledgeable and supportive surgical team, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced clinical setting.
