Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding assignment as a Certified Surgical Technologist, supporting a busy operating room environment with a focus on surgical excellence and patient care. This contract opportunity offers vital experience across a wide range of specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, gynecology, ENT, podiatry, urology, ophthalmology, and dental procedures.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Weekly hours range from 24 to 40, based on surgical volume No weekends or holidays required On-call responsibility: 10-11 days/month, Monday-Friday, 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required BLS certification required Previous experience in the OR, specifically with ortho, general, and multiple specialty cases, is highly desirable Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, high-volume surgical setting Strong communication skills and collaborative team approach
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile fields in compliance with protocols Assist surgeons and RNs intraoperatively, anticipating needs during each case Ensure accurate, timely documentation and reporting Maintain highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety Support a wide variety of surgical services, adapting to diverse procedures and surgeon preferences This role provides the opportunity to broaden your surgical expertise, work within a supportive and specialized clinical team, and gain hands-on experience with a range of surgical specialties.
