Job Description

Surgical Technologist Corewell Health United States, Michigan, Grand Rapids May 19, 2026 Corewell Health is offering up to $10,000 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity! About the unit Level 3 trauma center with 15 operating rooms in the Magnet Designated Corewell Health System. We are a center of excellence for bariatrics and total joints. Approximately 40% of our cases arecomprisedof total joints and elective spine cases. The remaining 60% of cases arecomprisedof General, Colon/Rectal, Urology, Bariatric,Plasticand ENT surgeries. Blodgett Surgery is a high-tech environment with 3 Davinci robots, a Mako robot,Mazorand Stealth technology. The OR is a team environment, as Nurses, Surgical Technologists and Surgery Support Staff work together to care for patients and support surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout the surgical procedure. The Blodgett OR team also serves as the patient advocate while the patient is under anesthesia. OR staff must use precise, critical thinking, often withina short timeframe, while keeping cost effective quality care and patient safety at the forefront. We provide patient-focused inpatient care in 248 private patient rooms and outpatient services for medical, surgical and specialty care, achieving high rates of patient satisfaction. Scope of work The Surgical Technologistmaintainsresponsibility for preparation of the surgical suite, intraoperative handling of instruments, maintenance of the sterile field, and evaluation of changing conditions during the surgical procedures, makingappropriate responsesas needed.

Is responsible formaintainingknowledge of surgical procedures and principles related to thoseprocedures.

May serve as a Preceptor. Qualifications RequiredAssociate's Degree in Surgical Technology OR the successful completion of an Accredited School of Surgical Technology. Not all schools involve anAssociate'sdegree. Surgical Technologist Experience (Clinical rotations do count as experience)Preferred
AHA OR ARC
