Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support a busy operating environment with specialty cases in orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, GYN, ENT, podiatry, urology, ophthalmology, and dental procedures. This contract opportunity offers valuable experience in diverse surgical settings and requires a strong team player comfortable managing a dynamic caseload.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 0700-1530 (24-40 hours per week; volume-based scheduling) No required weekends or holidays On-call required 10-11 days/month, Monday-Friday from 1530-1900 Overtime paid after 40 hours

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program Active CST Certification Current BLS Certification Demonstrated experience with a wide range of surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, gynecology, ENT, podiatry, urology, ophthalmology, and dental cases Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative surgical team Strong attention to detail and strict adherence to aseptic techniques

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields for a variety of procedures Anticipate surgeon and procedural needs to ensure optimal workflow and patient safety Handle surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies with precision Participate in room turnover and infection control practices Assist with preoperative and postoperative room setup and breakdown Respond to call shifts efficiently and perform duties as assigned This is an excellent role for an experienced CST who thrives in a multi-specialty perioperative setting.
