Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Surgical Tech - Certified or ORT to demonstrate expertise in a dynamic operating room setting. Play a critical role in supporting surgical teams and enhancing patient outcomes in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or credentialed ORT Comprehensive understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control Previous experience assisting in surgical procedures Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate surgeon needs Excellent communication and teamwork skills Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work efficiently under pressure
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time, flexible shift options available based on facility needs
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and functioning Assist surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field Monitor and maintain patient safety throughout surgical processes Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures as per protocol Support inventory management of surgical instruments and supplies Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transport to and from the operating room Adhere strictly to facility policies and regulatory standards
