Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our healthcare team. The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in supporting surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting during surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision, attention to detail, and excellent patient care are paramount. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, infection control practices, and advanced surgical techniques across various specialties including trauma, emergency medicine, pediatrics, and critical care. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly prior to procedures. Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgeries by passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and managing surgical tools efficiently. Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols throughout all phases of patient care. Collect and document relevant data such as vital signs, patient history, and procedural details accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support patient care activities by monitoring vital signs, assisting with suturing, and providing comfort measures under supervision. Maintain detailed medical records related to surgical procedures using EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms. Demonstrate proficiency in handling complex cases including trauma (Level I and Level II Trauma Centers), pediatric (PICU), critical care, hospital medicine, and ambulatory surgery settings. Participate in ongoing training related to new surgical techniques, infection prevention strategies, and updates in hospital protocols.
MUST HAVE
Minimum 1 year ST experience. BLS certification through AHA. Current CST certification. Previous travel experience. High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Pay:
$47.00 - $48.00 per hour
Experience:
Surgical technologist: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
BLS Certification from AHA (Required) current CST certification (Required) High School diploma or GED equivalent (Required)
