Job Description

```Duties``` As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during procedures.
Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing the operating room by sterilizing and setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assisting the surgical team by handing them instruments and supplies during procedures.
  • Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and other team members to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Maintaining a sterile field throughout the procedure to prevent infection.
  • Monitoring and managing surgical equipment, such as lights and suction machines.
  • Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Assisting with patient positioning and draping. ```Skills``` To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification to respond to medical emergencies in the operating room.
  • Proficiency in data collection and documentation, including accurate medical record keeping.
  • Knowledge of hospital protocols, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Familiarity with surgical procedures in various specialties.
  • Ability to handle and pass surgical instruments, such as sutures, clamps, and retractors.
  • Understanding of infection control practices to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
