Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team. Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members. Overview:

The Mercy Center for Performance Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center provides state-of-the-art surgical care for patients across a wide range of specialties. The center features 10 operating rooms, 2 minor procedure rooms, and 1 cystoscopy suite , making it one of the largest outpatient surgery centers in the United States. Each space is equipped with the latest advanced technology to support high-quality patient care. Surgical specialties offered include orthopedics, urology, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, and general surgery , ensuring comprehensive treatment options for diverse patient needs. In addition to its operating rooms, the center includes a fully integrated surgical support environment with its own pre- and post-operative areas, PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit), 23-hour observation unit, sterile processing department (SPD), and supply chain services . Team members at the center benefit from an exceptional work-life balance, with no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call requirements , creating a supportive and highly desirable work environment.

Qualifications:

Required Education:

HS Diploma or GED. Non-certified applicants may be considered for this position with acceptable surgical technology experience.

Required Experience:

Must have at least one year of Surgical Tech-FA experience

Preferred Education:

Surgical Technology experience or Graduate with a Degree in Surgical Technology or completion certification from an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
