This position plays a vital role in supporting cardiovascular and endovascular/hybrid surgical procedures by working closely with surgeons, nurses, and the operating room team. As the primary scrub, responsibilities include preparing and managing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment, maintaining a sterile environment, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team throughout each procedure. When functioning as the secondary scrub, duties include assisting during surgery by handling suction, sponging, cutting sutures, holding retractors, and operating the endoscopic camera to support the surgeon and surgical assistant. This role also requires the ability to serve as the lead surgical technologist across multiple specialty areas, including robotic surgery, total joints, neuro/spine, burn, and vascular procedures. Care is provided to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in CVOR and endovascular/hybrid operating room settings Demonstrated ability to lead in robotic, total joints, neuro/spine, burn, and vascular surgery specialties At least 2 years of experience in a hospital of similar size and service scope Graduate of an accredited Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT) program Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) certification through NCCT Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment
Schedule:
Full-time Day shift 40-hour work week Rotating weekends On-call participation required
