We are seeking an experienced, certified Surgical Scrub Technician to support our clinical and surgical team in a part time role in the setting of a Quad A certified Operating Room. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to grow within the aesthetics field. The position would entail 1-2 shifts a week, between 8-10 hours per shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a Scrub Tech seeking additional shifts. Past or current experience as a Surgical Technician in Plastic Surgery facial plastics or aesthetic surgery is Required. We are looking for a team-oriented and outgoing individual to join a close-knit and highly functioning team. Performs delegated activities to assist in the care of the patients in the operating room and surgical center. Under the supervision of a RN and in collaboration with the surgeon, the technologist functions primarily in the scrub role. The Surgical Technician is responsible for selecting, preparing, and maintaining instrumentation, equipment, and supplies. The successful candidate is also responsible for helping in preparation and turnover of the operating room.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the plastic surgeon during face, breast, and body surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain clean, organized treatment and surgical rooms
  • Cleans and sterilizes surgical instruments
  • Maintains records of instrument sterilization and equipment checks
  • Familiarity with Aesthetic Plastic Surgery procedures and the necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies
  • Assists with draping of the patient and establishment of the sterile field
  • Assists with surgical center inventory management
  • Maintain sterile procedures during all surgical cases
  • Demonstrates professional ism and discretion with patients
  • Embraces a team-centered approach with co-workers
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent or current work experience in hospital or medical setting
  • Graduation from an accredited and/or hospital approved surgical technology program, with a minimum of 2 years of CST experience. Licensed Surgical technicians with 10+ years of related experience will also be considered.
  • Maintenance of certification for Surgical Technology required, and must be maintained thereafter.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date and maintained thereafter.
  • Experience in the operating room as a surgical technologist is required, plastic surgery experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a plastic surgery, facial plastics, or aesthetic surgery practice strongly preferred
  • Confident, professional demeanor with excellent communication and bedside manner
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-touch environment
Schedule & Compensation:
  • Part-time schedule (1-2 shifts per week; 8-10 hours per shift); no weekends
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with extended hours as needed
