Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Advance your surgical services expertise in a collaborative environment, delivering high-quality patient care across a high-volume operating suite. This contract opportunity calls for an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (ORT, CST) who can thrive in a diverse, fast-paced perioperative setting, supporting a variety of complex surgical procedures.
Schedule & Hours:
Contract assignment
Orientation:
1 week (Main OR) or 2 weeks (CVOR), Monday-Friday, five 8-hour shifts
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in operating room settings, with strong skills in any of the following:
RN, CST, CVOR
RN, or
CVOR CST
roles Willing to consider first-time travelers who meet experience requirements
Surgical Technologists:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech education program is required Current BLS certification (required); national certification preferred Demonstrated proficiency in scrubbing Orthopedic (4-5 rating), Cardiothoracic, Vascular, General, Urology, Robotic, GYN, Colon, Breast, Spine, Podiatry, and Plastic cases
For CVOR Techs:
Substantial recent experience in CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic surgery Must maintain a permanent address at least 50 miles from facility
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently assist surgeons by preparing and managing instruments for a wide array of surgical specialties Ensure strict adherence to sterile technique and operating room safety protocols Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, OR assistants, and support staff across 13 ORs and a cysto/procedure room Contribute to positive patient outcomes by responding to intraoperative needs and ensuring a smooth surgical flow Adapt to various surgical technology, including EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell dispensing, and Phillips monitors
