Job Description

We are adding to our growing team. This is a tremendous opportunity to join a dynamic, fun and fast paced plastic surgery practice. We are looking for someone who is passionate, dedicated, confident and personable. The ideal candidate will have a likeable, outgoing personality and a drive to learn and grow. Charlotte Plastic Surgery is the city's premier plastic surgery practice and skin health center, located near Uptown. We are unique in that we tailor each experience to the specific patient and specialize in a full range of cosmetic options from basic skin care to complex, state-of-the-art surgical procedures. We provide our patients with the latest technology, the highest quality personalized service and the most dedicated and professional patient care. We are the only practice in Charlotte to win Charlotte Magazine's coveted BOB (best-of-the-best) Award for plastic surgery, and we've been highly featured in both print publications (Scout Magazine, Charlotte Observer, New Beauty, Radiant Life, Lifestyle Magazine) and on television (Fox46, WBTV, WCCB, WSOC).
Responsibilities:
The Certified Surgical Technician's primary responsibilities will be focused on providing excellent customer service to each and every patient. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide superior customer service to all CPS clients, physicians, and fellow team members
  • Serve as first assistant for surgical cases at CPS surgical center and area hospital surgery centers
  • Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical cases
  • Assist with post-surgical dressings and OR turnover
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Will be required to stand for long periods of time during surgical procedures
Preferred Qualities & Skills:
Previous OR scrub experience and ability to suture required. Selfless team player who is assertive, goal-oriented, positive, self-motivated and objective
  • Strong interest in the cosmetic field and a passion for building relationships with their patients/clients
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in follow through procedures & protocols
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with clarity both verbally and in writing Excellent communication skills; works well in a group setting with a focus on resolution in all endeavors Desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Strong ability to multi-task and take on new tasks as assigned; maintains prompt response time to patient and physician needs Confident speaking one-on-one with both patients and physicians, knowledgeable and integrity driven
Education, Experience and Training:
Associates Degree or equivalent from two year college and technical school; and six months to a year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Registered Nurse, CST or Medical Office Assistant with 1-2 years of experience in an operating room
