Outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Center Position Overview The Surgical Technologist supports orthopedic surgeons and the perioperative care team in a newly established ambulatory surgery center. This role is responsible for preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting during orthopedic surgical procedures to ensure patient safety, efficiency, and high-quality surgical outcomes in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Requirements Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred Prior experience in orthopedic surgery preferred Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and OR protocols Job Duties Prepare operating rooms with appropriate instruments, equipment, and supplies Maintain strict sterile technique throughout surgical procedures Assist orthopedic surgeons during operative cases by anticipating needs Ensure proper handling, care, and availability of surgical instruments Support efficient room turnover between cases Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia, and perioperative staff Promote patient safety and adherence to regulatory and infection control standards
Additional Information Schedule:
Daytime hours, Monday-Friday; no nights, weekends, or holidays anticipated
